You should know that education is not just an eventuality or even a formality to simply review, it is of major importance for the life of the dog and the contact within the home and its environment!

A dog must be obedient, close to humans, sociable, kind and built on the foundations of socialization acquired during its first months.  !

Namely that the first weeks of breeding is very important for its future life, a dog that grows up with its mother in a cage or box, without being manipulated and exposed to noises, shapes, texture, colors , intra and interspecific presence and having for simple first borrows that of his mother, then the latter will generally develop problems throughout his life or at least the first months if no work is done upstream ... And yes because you have to know that with each discovery the puppy will develop nerve connections which will make him acquire new acceptances or fears depending on how his last exercises will be offered to him.

So we will quickly detail a few basics to understand below, this is only a brief summary, everything will be offered to you more particularly and personally during our private lessons in breeding (face-to-face or in video conferences ..) .

Remember that too many dogs are abandoned each year, for lack of education, and end up placed in shelters or abandoned cowardly. So this help that we offer you is not without importance, we devote a good part of our work to it, to allow our dogs, to stay in good families and to have a happy life!

The first weeks of life ...

Even before giving birth, we are very often in contact with the mothers' wombs, prenatal care is already important for contact with humans. Puppies are born in our hands almost 99% of the time, they are handled on their first breaths and are exposed to their mothers. Every day, we practice care and continue to create with them, another borrowing than the maternal one which has been created for some time already ...

Babies are born deaf and blind, On the other hand, the sense of touch is very developed, this allows him to orient himself easily towards the pacifiers of his mother, he feels the sound vibrations, but not the noise itself ...

At this stage of life the puppy has very little predisposition, because his nervous system is still totally immature.

- He has the burrowing reflex which pushes him to find the hottest places like his mother or the soft toys that we leave available or even close to reach.

- The gripping reflex which encourages him not to move when the mother grasps him.

- The perineal reflex which allows her to eliminate her stools and urine when the mother licks her back or when we rub this area after the bottle.

- The labial reflex, more generally called suction through which it can feed ...

Around the age of one week, he will begin to stand up on his front legs.

From 10 days.

From around ten days of life, puppies begin to open their eyes, hear and move around. At that moment, he begins to understand that he belongs to a species, it is important at that moment to start to manipulate them more, he starts to move too. It is necessary to bring a lot of stimuli  colors and noises to socialize them more ... We will have already asked you his name for the repeated turns every day .. This last will be acquired when he leaves ..

Around 3 weeks, the puppy begins to move more easily, his nervous system allows him to coordinate his movements, he begins to play with his fellows and to separate himself more from his mother. He begins to gain confidence and daily stimuli. are accentuated .. It tastes its first boils and its small teeth begins to develop it, it becomes a young puppy ..

The puppy's 4 weeks have arrived, he will go outside for the first time, and discover more new things, like the outside noises he will have already heard on soundtracks, but still unknown new ones, with a new texture, plastic grating, grass, wood, different toys, new colors and outdoor play with humans of different build, size, color, age, we brush them, offering them the kicker for regulars, we devote their bowls to them. towers  ...  It is at this age that the importance of socialization is essential for the future of the puppy. His different situations will teach him not to be aggressive or fearful and to be more confident. He will learn to control his bites, will begin to be subjected to subduing its congeners ...

The 6th week is very specific, the puppy is situated between fear and discovery, you have to be very picky about the movements and the proposals we make to them so as not to frustrate them ...

The news borrows.

Your little wolf is almost 10 weeks old and he is joining your home .. We follow you continuously for the first few weeks as soon as you need it .. We ask you to take a minimum of 10 days off to allow the puppy and yourself get to know you and allow this little wolf to take his bearings. You will continue to stimulate your puppy continuously, his first name repeatedly, perfect his habits with "YES" and "NO", these distinctions must be clear and understood quickly by the puppy. Forbid strong biting, taking shoes, jumping on the world etc ...

The accustomed to daily situations such as outings, walks, meal times etc.  Teach him more cleanliness day and night .. Make him wait in front of his bowl, allow him and refuse him certain things or room in the home .. Teach him who is the master of the home, and that there are obligations and habits to to take.

You will take it out intelligently without taking any risk for it, without exposing it to dangers, we will explain how ... You will put it in contact with your daily life, music, children, the sounds of the city, of the countryside, rue, congeners of the same species and other different species ... It is important to understand that the puppy assimilates a lot until the age of 4/5 months, beyond all that it does will not have seen, heard, meeting will become a major fear for him ...

After 5 months ...

Your little one is now 5 months old, you should know that at this stage the puppy will have new fears and bad habits that can set in ...

Everything he has not seen or heard will become a danger for him, it will take more time and fear patience to make him accept his novelties, this will not be impossible, but will quickly become complicated to manage and you will have to Constantly reassure him and not frustrate him, he will always have to be congratulated even if the educational session is a failure, because it is necessary to know that he will have tried and suddenly he deserves encouragement.

Be careful with humanization, many people gave a lot during the first 3 months and still imagine having a baby, you have to take the place of the master and not the parent. A dog is not a child, many say they understand and not to do it, but once in behavior or education session we quickly see that they do not practice education in the right way, whether in their home or outside.

Adolescence ...

Around the age of 6 months your puppy will become a teenager, some complication may appear, do not be alarmed this remains normal, he will become more stubborn, run away, will try to flee, to defend himself alone, to stand up to you can even be growled on the people he liked up front. This is normal, but must be supervised and supervised by the masters of the dog. Hormones present themselves as well as the first heat in the female or sexual impulses in the male, so the character becomes different and the education too. You should know that hormones change everything in the dog. We must remain confident and persist in education, do not hesitate to communicate more with him, to take him in the "direction of the fur" and to remain patient and positive during these months ...

I am grown up who have I become? ..

From 12/15 months in the chowchow and 15/20 months in Newfoundland, the dog is channeled and we know what we have done and not done during his education, a well-educated dog must be pleasant in all circumstances and not not be a problem for his home!

Do not hesitate to repeat educational sessions from time to time with your adult dog and why not teach him a new trick that will make loved ones laugh ?!

You can be proud of yourself if all of this is successfully accomplished! We will try to do our best to accompany you and help you in its steps which are not so difficult!

We always repeat that we do not educate the dog, but the master, because your dog will be your mirror reflection, the leash is and will remain the umbilical cord with your dog, you will have to understand it, analyze it, make it positive during these educational periods and never interact in negativity and nervousness.
